When I am sitting anywhere I look around and I pick a flower, I stare at it until it inspires me. The fun of it is that I never know how the picture of the flower will turn out. It’s like the flower talks to me, how it wants me to draw it. That is why I love being a versatile artist because I get inspired by so many different things. It also makes me appreciate God’s creations and His multicolored world.
When I look closely at a flower as an artist, I am looking at the transparency of the petals, the bright colors, its shape, and the shadow of the light on it. I thank God for allowing me to see all this breath taking beauty and for giving me the ability to see each flower as its own little beauty. When I paint flowers it is like each one is telling me how they want to look, some are transparent, some colorful, some delicate looking, some just want to be desired. This series would be great for greeting cards. My imagination keeps me on my toes all the time in search of new and unique ideas
